臺鐵宜蘭線通車百年特展

鐵道是日本時代臺灣最重要的現代交通工具，讓人與貨物可以快速移動，改變人們的時空概念。
本展區呈現宜蘭線鐵道的興建緣由、歷程、工程成就與鐵道設施特色。

Railways were the most important modern transportation for Taiwan in the Japanese ruled period. Its ability of quickly carrying passengers and hauling goods to other places shifted people's perception of time and space.
The section presents the reasons supporting Yilan Railway plan, history and process of construction, achievements of the construction, and the features of the railway.

在國道五號通車前，宜蘭線鐵道影響了沿線鄉鎮民眾的生活與產業發展。
本展區呈現宜蘭線鐵道開通後，在鐵道車站、月台經常可見的生活場景與產業風情，或是具時代性的鐵道休閒印象。

Yilan Railway affected people’s lives and industrial development along the route before the inauguration of the National Expressway 5.
The section presents the images of life scenes and industrial culture which usually could be seen around stations and platforms and typical impress about railway leisure activities.

宜蘭線鐵道沿線空間變化豐富，河谷、平原、大洋兼備，成為許多藝術創作者的靈感來源或故事場景。

本展區呈現日本時代迄今，與宜蘭線鐵道相關且較具代表性之藝術表現。

There are various topographical features along Yilan Railway including valley, plain, ocean. A lot of artists were inspired by the marvelous and ravishing scenery.

The section displays the representative artworks about Yilan Railway from the Japanese ruled period to this day.
